Procedure to find the IDEMIA L1 Device (MSO 1300 E3 RD) Info on Windows
Pre-requisites
- Ensure that the IDEMIA RD Service Driver is installed on your Windows PC.
- Confirm that the IDEMIA L1 RD Service is running and device is functioning.
STEPS
- 1. Connect the Device
- Plug in the MSO 1300 E3 RD Device into an available USB port of your Laptop/PC.
- 2. Access the RD Management Tool
- Go to the System Tray (bottom-right corner of your Windows taskbar).
- Click on the arrow (˄) to expand the hidden icons.

- Locate and click on the IDEMIA logo to open the IDEMIA L1 RD Management Tool.

- 3. View Device Details in RD Management Tool
- Navigate to the Device Information tab.
- Here, you can view the following details:

- RD Version
- Device Serial Number
- Device Firmware
- Whitelisting Status

- You can also perform the following operations from Configuration tab in Management tool:
- Enable logs for analysis and Proxy
- Verify or Change Communication mode according to the Business Application.
- Start / Stop / Restart the service
- Capture Fingerprint

- If the details are not visible:
- Check the device connectivity.
- Click on the Refresh button in the tool.
- The serial number should now appear.
Alternatively, device serial number can be found by following the below method:
Pre-requisites
- Ensure that the MSO Device Driver is installed on your Windows PC.
STEPS
- 1. Connect the Device
- Ensure the Device driver is already installed.
- Plug the MSO device into a USB port of the Windows PC.
- Ensure the device is properly detected.
- 2. Open Device Manager
- Press Win + R, type devmgmt.msc, and press Enter.

- This will open the Device Manager window.
- 3. Locate the Device
- In the Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers or Ports (depending on the driver installation).
- Find your L0 device in the list. (e.g. “MorphoSmart CBM” or “MorphoSmart MSO1300 E3”)

- 4. Open Device Properties
- Right-click on the device name “MorphoSmart CBM” or “MorphoSmart MSO1300 E3” Properties.

- 5. Check Details Tab
- In the Properties window, go to the Details tab.
- From the Property drop-down, select Device Instance Path.

- OR
- In the Properties window, go to the Event tab.

- 6. Extract Serial Number
- The complete device serial number (P/N-S/N) will be shown under information section.
- Example: USB\VID_079B&PID_0047\293715913-2325I007910
→ Here, the highlighted part 293715913-2325I007910 is the complete desktop serial number (PN-SN) of a connected device.
